Extending the Life of Your Pack

Want to keep your back pack in good shape for years to come? Good news! There are many steps you can take to ensure the life of your pack. Even if constructed of durable fabric, your pack will need a little TCL as time passes. Here are some things to consider to help extend the life of your pack for years to come:

• Avoid saturating your pack without drying it properly. If you back pack while out in a storm, be sure to allow your pack to dry before storing it.
• Keep your pack in a cool, dark and dry location when not in use. Any dampness will wear your pack and may cause mildew over time.
• Over exposure to sunlight will also weather the material of your pack. Again, keep your back pack safely stored in a natural, dark location.
• Avoid washing your pack in a washing machine. This can rip fabric and destroy the straps. If you need to spot clean your pack, you can use a little soap and water.
• Be sure to air dry your pack. Never place a wet pack in the dryer. This can not only result in tearing but may also ruin any protective coatings applied to your pack.
